This is a Great Blue Haron

Although Great Blue Harons can wade quite far from shore (as shown here), they seem to prefer hunting closer to shore.

This is a Great Blue Haron sunning in the morning along with the Cormorants and other water fowl.

The Great Blue Haron will also eat frogs, which are usually closer to shore.
